The CCSC 2026 will take place at the Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften (BAdW) located in the heart of Munich, Germany.

The Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften (BAdW), founded in 1759, is one of the oldest and most prestigious academic institutions in Germany. Situated in the historic Munich Residence, it offers an inspiring setting for scientific exchange and collaboration.

Munich is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city with a dense network of research centers, startups, and global tech companies driving innovation across disciplines. It is home to several world-leading institutions, including the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and numerous Max Planck and Fraunhofer Institutes. Many renowned scientists, such as Max Planck, Werner Heisenberg, Justus von Liebig, Ernst O. Fischer, Carl von Linde, and others, conducted a significant portion of their scientific work in Munich. With its cultural depth and scientific vitality, Munich is the perfect backdrop for CCSC 2026.



Travel



The conference will be held at the Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften (BAdW) in the Munich Residenz.

The closest airports are Munich Int. Airport (MUC) and Frankfurt Int. Airport (FRA). There are numerous buses that lead to the conference venue, i.e. via Munich central station. From MUC, you can take S1 or S8 to reach Munich central station. From FRA, there are regular train connections with a total travel time of approximately 3.5 hours to reach Munich central station. From Munich central station you can take U4 (direction: Arabellapark) or U5 (direction: Neuperlach Süd). Ideal drop-off point is Odeonsplatz. The venue is located at Alfons-Goppel-Straße 11, 80539 München.

Accommodation



The following hotels are located in walking distance to the venue.



We have allocated a room contingent at Hotel MIO by AMANO, Munich under the following conditions: Check-in is available from 15:00, and rooms are available until 12:00 on the day of departure. Each guest must book their room individually and provide a personal credit card when making the reservation. The contingent is held until 6 January 2026 under this booking link. Guests may cancel their rooms free of charge up to seven days before arrival. Cancellations made later than this and no-shows will be charged 100% of the booked rate.

Conference Dinner



The conference dinner will take place on Thursday, 12 March, at 7:00 pm at the Augustiner Stammhaus (Grüner Saal).

The restaurant is located in the heart of Munich (Neuhauser Straße 27, 80331 Munich) and is within walking distance of the BAdW. Participants are welcome to walk to the restaurant together in small groups departing from the Academy.

Please note: Participation in the conference dinner is only possible with the dinner ticket that you receive during registration at the Welcome Desk. Please make sure to keep this ticket with you.
